The rules from the Arthur Penrose videos — plus the Money Map, the word-for-word phone scripts, the forms and the claim calendar that never fit into a video. Every figure checked against the official source: GOV.UK, the DWP and HMRC.

The rules are the same for everyone. The difference is whether somebody showed you where they're written down.
Hello — I'm Arthur Penrose, and if you've come to this book from the UK Pension Guide channel, you already know what I do there: I read the official publications so that you don't have to, and I explain what they mean in plain English. This book is where all of it lives in one place — the channel's companion, written to sit next to your telephone.
Let me be straight with you about who I am, because you deserve that. I am not a benefits adviser. I am not a financial advisor. I never worked for the DWP, for HMRC, or for any government department. What I do is simpler: I read the rules — the publications of the Department for Work and Pensions, HMRC and the NHS, and the GOV.UK pages that most people never find — and I set them out plainly, with the exact figures, the right forms and the phone numbers to act on them. Every figure in these pages was checked against the official source, and every chapter shows you how to check it yourself. Don't take my word for your money; take the government's word. I'll simply show you where it's written down.
A video ends. A book stays on the shelf until the day you need it. I hope that day is a profitable one.
Set in clear, large type — the way it will sit next to your telephone. These are actual pages from the 2026/27 Edition.
Your State Pension, Pension Credit, disability and carer's payments, heating, housing, council tax, tax, wills, care fees and lost money — each chapter with the rule in plain English, the exact figures, a word-for-word phone script, and a checklist to finish the job. Where Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland do things differently, the chapter says so.
A video explains. A book sits next to your telephone. These are the working tools that only exist in the Playbook:
The biggest payments in the book on a single page — what each one is worth, and which figure it really is.
The exact words for the calls that matter, written out in full — and what NOT to say, so you don't talk yourself out of money.
Every helpline number you need, gathered in one place at the back of the book, printed in full.
Each chapter ends with a “Do this today” list: what to do, which form to ask for, which number to ring.
One payment of £12.99 at the launch price — secure checkout on Gumroad. No subscription, nothing renews.
The PDF arrives by email right after checkout and opens on your phone, tablet or computer. Print any page you want to keep by the phone.
Start with the Money Map, then take one chapter at a time — tick the checklist and make the call with the script in front of you.

UK pensioners — and people approaching State Pension age — who want to be sure they're not missing payments they're entitled to. It covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and wherever a rule changes at a border, the chapter says so. Everything is written in plain English; no background knowledge is needed.
From the official UK sources — GOV.UK, the DWP, HMRC and the NHS — checked in October 2026 for the 2026/27 Edition, and every chapter shows you how to check the figure yourself. This is an independent guide from Senior Benefits Press, not a government publication. If a figure in the book and GOV.UK ever disagree, GOV.UK wins — always check there for the very latest position before you claim.
